Mitläufer would dye their hair pink if that were in style. If all their friends liked a particular sports team, they would jump on the bandwagon. Mitläufer - literally, "with runners" - are chameleons and go with the flow rather than developing opinions of their own. The irony is that they often do that to be liked.
