More Cars on Autobahn

German roads are getting more crowded. In 2002, there were some 53.7 million vehicles on the roads in Germany, according to a report released on Friday by the federal vehicle regulatory office. That represented a 0.7 percent increase from 2001. The growth has slowed somewhat, the agency reported. In 2001, growth logged in at 1.6 percent and in 2000 it was 3.5 percent.
