Morocco's Atlas Mountains - A Troubled Region

Most of the communities in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco live from agriculture, but climate change is taking its toll on harvests.

Many farmers are now switching to fishing with the help of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The initiative includes efforts to replenish fish stocks in the Bin el Ouidane reservoir lake as well as plans to boost tourism in the region.
