A church and its entire contents in the Swedish town of Kiruna have begun a two-day journey that will see it relocated in one piece to another part of town. The logistical challenge has been made necessary because of local mining activity.

In Kiruna, Sweden, a century-old church is being relocated 5 kilometers (3.2 miles) due to ground instability caused by decades of mining.

Voted Sweden's most beautiful pre-1950 building, the church is being moved intact, a rare engineering feat. The two-day journey, broadcast on television, has drawn national attention, including a visit from King Gustaf.
