Arab students in Germany: they come from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to study at some of the most renowned German institutions of higher learning. Shamma has found the city of her dreams in Munich; Nabeel is now a doctor living in Freiburg, while Bader is finding it hard to return to Kuwait after taking his degree in Aachen. This report follows three young Arabs from the Persian Gulf region from their German language courses to the universities and operating rooms. It shows how they overcome initial difficulties and religious and cultural differences to find something like a second home in Germany.
