The first German and Dutch troops on their way to Turkey as part of NATO's deployment of Patriot missiles in the country. The United States is also sending Patriots and their crews to the Turkish border with Syria. NATO says the deployment is a purely defensive measure. Ankara sought help from its NATO partners in the alliance, saying it fears Syrian agression.
