Netanyahu faces opposition over possible Gaza takeover plan

Israel's prime minister is considering a full occupation of the Gaza Strip, according to media reports. The United Nations and Israel's opposition leader Yair Lapid have spoken out against any such escalation.

Despite international airdrops and limited road aid, Gaza remains in crisis. Displaced residents require shelter and basic necessities, with food like flour seen as "white gold." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed full occupation of Gaza faces resistance from military leaders and opposition figures like Yair Lapid, who advocate for Egyptian governance instead. The UN is warning of catastrophic consequences, and protests in Israel reflect growing opposition.
