New Hope for Alzheimer’s Disease

Gerontologists are now taking a closer look at ironwort, a flowering plant long known for its medicinal properties. In studies carried out on mice, ironwort helped reverse the formation of the brain plaques that are partly responsible for the disease. Scientists hope that one day, discoveries such as these might offer new hope for curing Alzheimer’s disease.
