No let-up in hostilities in Iran as US deadline approaches

As US President Donald Trump threatens to eradicate "a whole civilization," the US and Israel continue to rain down rockets on Iran. The UN has warned that targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute war crimes.

Tensions are escalating as US and Israeli strikes hit targets across Iran, including civilian infrastructure. Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology was reduced to rubble, and a passenger train near the capital was struck hours after Israel warned civilians to avoid rail travel. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israeli, US and Gulf targets. The UN warns that attacks on civilian infrastructure may constitute war crimes, even as Donald Trump doubles down on a hardline ultimatum to Iran.
