"Now only the Drachma can help" - is a Grexit inevitable?

The idea of a possible Greek exit from the eurozone first surfaced five years ago. But it never occurred. Since then, Greece has gone through five years of painful austerity and its economy has shrunk by around a quarter. The country's national debt has risen and the country remains dependent on outside aid.

That's no permanent solution, says Hans Werner Sinn, President of Germany's IFO institute, a respected Munich-based economic research institution. He has long been calling for Greece to exit the eurozone. Made in Germany's Grit Hofmann met Hans-Werner Sinn to talk to him about his proposals.
