Construction of the BARD Offshore 1 wind farm in the North Sea continues to be beset by difficulties. Delays in the expansion of the electric grid and poor weather conditions have already put the project two years behind schedule.

Costs have increased dramatically, and as yet there’s no buyer in sight. Grit Hofmann and Carmen Meyer report on the rash of difficulties that have contributed to the delay.
