Retailers across Germany are opening their doors on the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, hoping that shoppers will give their earnings a hefty year-end boost. But the country's major churches say Sunday should be a day of rest, not commerce. They are taking their case to Germany's highest court to get Sunday shopping banned.
