Here in Germany, the government has agreed on a stimulus package to revive the economy - but experts say unless consumer spending picks up, it will do little pull the country out of recession. For retailers, the lead-up to Christmas is the busiest time of the year. And there has been some relief that in the last week-end before Christmas - at least here in Berlin, stores were packed with shoppers.
