Nearly 30 German video bloggers are using the hashtag #YouGeHA to introduce younger audiences to topics like racism, homophobia and discrimination. But not every social media campaign has good intentions.

Normally, German YouTube sites like Kwink, Dailyknoedel and LeFloid feature entertaining content. But for a week recently they got serious. Under hashtag #YouGeHa, they produced and posted videos against xenophobia and for tolerance. But one fund-raising campaign has come under criticism: a video under the hashtag #Kony2012 protested against Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and collect donations for children who suffered at his hand. But allegedly, only 37 percent of the money collected actually arrived in Africa.
