Opel: Germany's economics minister is upbeat after talks with General Motors

M: Germany's Economics Minister says General Motors appears willing to help save its German based subsidiary Opel -- possibly by retaining a minority stake in the company. Minister Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg was in the US Monday for talks with GM management. B: He says many questions remain. -- and that even if GM stays in, a private investor would also be needed to ensure Opel's survival. Guttenberg continues to lobby for Opel this Tuesday. He'll meet with US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
