Open borders for Africa: an idealistic project with many barriers

Open borders are a fundamental advantage to living in the European Union. You can go from, say, Spain to Germany without a passport and without a visa. Now Africa wants to introduce a similar model. While the vision is to some day allow for unrestricted travel across the continent the disparities between the African countries pose a huge challenge to the project.
