Outlook Bleak for Germany's Skilled Laborers

The German Confederation of Small Business and Skilled Crafts (ZDH) forecasts that the current crisis plagueing the sector will get worse before it improves. The organization said it expects a total drop in revenue of 4.5 percent and a loss of almost 300,000 jobs in the current year. In 2003, the ZDH said it is expecting a further dip in turnover of 1 to 3 percent and a loss of about 100,000 to 300,000 jobs.
