Parlamentary elections: Much will depend on which way the undecided voters cast their ballots today

Polls close in Germany in two hours .. as the country elects a new parliament. Chancellor Angela Merkel is confident of forming the next government. Her main rival, Frank Walter Steinmeier is hoping his Social Democrats will consolidate recent gains in opinion polls. The two have governed together in coalition for the past four years - and may end up doing so again. But Merkel would prefer a centre-right partnership with the Free Democrats. Much will on depend which way the undecided voters cast their ballots today.
