No other parliament in the world is as open to international students as the German Bundestag. For five months, interns can experience first-hand how parliamentary democracy works. The 115 internship recipients are supposed to return home with their impressions and strengthen parliamentary democracies and form networks at home. People and Politics follows one intern each from Russia, Serbia, the Czech Republic and the US to investigate their perceptions on policymaking in Berlin and election campaigning in the countryside in northern Germany.
