A former German officer involved in the assassination attempts on Adolf Hitler has died at the age of 90. Philip Freiherr von Boese-lager was one of eight officers who planned to shoot Hitler in a plot that was called off in 1943. Later, he supplied the explosives for the other attack in July of 1944. The leader in command, Claus von Stauffenberg, and the other officers were captured and executed shortly after their failed bomb plot
