Picture it! Streetlight Charging Points for Electric Cars

Berlin-based start-up Ubitricity has set out to bring electric cars into the mainstream. Its vision is for smart cables to allow convenient re-charging at any of hundreds of streetlights around town.

That would put an end to the long, tiresome search for workable re-charging stations in the city. It would cost only €500 to convert a streetlight instead of around €10,000 for a special re-charging station.
