Playing music via the Internet is no problem, SoundCloud works to make sharing it easier

Thanks to live streaming on the Web - and podcasts in particular - people have been able to listen to all kinds of music they'd never be able to hear on their radios at home.

While the Internet has made listening to music easier, it's still difficult for musicians to get their work in the hands of people who can distribute it.

SoundCloud founder and CEO Alex Ljung told Planet Blog about how the online service got started and how it works.
