Poland: Despite an avoided recesion last year, the country is experiencing major financial turbulence

Welcome back for Biz ID. The election of moderate conservative Bronislaw Komorowski as Poland's president has raised hopes that the country will take new steps toward difficult financial reforms. Many of the government's bills were vetoed by Komorowski's predecessor, Lech Kaczynski before his death. Poland was the only economy in the European Union to avoid recession last year, but the country is experiencing major financial turbulence.
