Poland is preparing for its Presidential elections on Sunday which became necessary after President Lech Kaczynski died in a plane crash. Kaczynski and his wife were killed along with 94 other leading figures when their plane crashed in Smolensk in western Russia on their way to a memorial ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. Tomorrow former prime minister JAROSLAW Kaczyski is hoping to become his twin brother's successor in a vote that looks likely to go into a second round.
