Cars have to stop and wait as the annual goosander migration hits the roads of Warsaw. These large diving ducks are heading for the Vistula River, where they hope to find more food.

In Warsaw , a family of common goosanders halts traffic as a mother leads her nine newly hatched ducklings across a six-lane road toward the Vistula River.

The annual spring crossing from Lazienki Park draws volunteers who help block traffic and ensure safety.

Barely a day old, the ducklings follow their mother's calls and instincts to reach richer feeding grounds, in a remarkable urban wildlife spectacle.
