Wymysorys, a rare regional language, is fighting for survival in Poland. A small group of young enthusiasts is trying to keep it alive.

Wymysorys, the endangered language of Poland’s Vilamovian minority, faces new challenges after the president vetoed its official recognition. Yet speakers and linguists keep it alive through theater, social media and cultural work.

Despite a historic ban and political resistance, the community is determined to preserve its identity.
