Political leaders are concerned about developments in Crimea

Russian military movements on the Crimean peninsula, where Russia maintains a major naval base, are worrying Ukrainian and global leaders. US President Obama has warned Russia that there would be costs if it intervened militarily to threaten Ukraine's territorial integrity. The Crimea is an autonomous republic within Ukraine. Crimea's population is mostly ethnic Russian.
