Carlo Acutis from Italy died of leukaemia at the age of 15 in 2006. He has been described as an internet saint because he shared his spiritual journey with thousands online. Many are making the pilgrimage to his grave in Assisi.

Carlo Acutis, a British-born Italian teen known as “God’s influencer,” will become the first millennial saint. A devout Catholic and tech enthusiast, he created a website documenting miracles before dying of leukemia at 15. His canonization follows two confirmed miracles, including the healing of a Costa Rican student. The Church hopes Acutis’ legacy will inspire young Catholics worldwide.
