German rock veteran Marius Müller-Westernhagen is going acoustic with his Unplugged Album. We get up close and personal with lead singer Oceana and then go to Wacken to follow the band Syndemic at the Metal Battle.

Westernhagen - German Rock - Unplugged Hits

At a concert for "MTV Unplugged" Marius Müller-Westernhagen presented acoustic versions of decades of hit songs, and included featured guests such as Udo Lindenberg on the drums. The album shot high up into the charts.

Melting Pop - Oceana from Hamburg

Her father comes from the Caribbean Island of Martinique. Her mother comes from Hamburg. And you can hear this cultural diversity in Oceana's music. In 2012 she landed the hit "Endless Summer", the theme song for the European Soccer Championships.

Syndemic - German Death-Metal

Pounding guitar riffs, groaning vocals: the band Syndemic from Hamburg know how to infect their audience - and they wowed the crowd at the Metal Battle 2016. At the Wacken Open Air festival competition they garnered fourth place in the new talent category.

HIT-Clip: Sarah Connor & Henning Wehland - Bonnie & Clyde

The first album that Sarah Conner recorded in her native tongue has become a best seller. The new version of "Muttersprache" has landed in the top 10 again. We present her new single, a duet with Henning Wehland, the lead singer for crossover rocker H-Blockx.

TIPP-Clip: Milky Chance - Cocoon

The whole world celebrated electro-folk duo Milky Chance when their debut album and hit single "Stolen Dance" were released. After sold-out tours in the USA and Australia, Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch are now thrilling the fans with new sounds.

 

KULT-Clip: No Mercy - When I Die (1996)

German producer Frank Farian discovered No Mercy on the streets of Miami. Now their second hit single, "When I Die" has climbed to the top ten in many European countries and in Austraila. And it's even landed in the US charts.
