Princess Caroline's Husband Recovering

April 13, 2005

Germany's Prince Ernst August of Hanover, the husband of Princess Caroline of Monaco, is recovering from acute inflammation of the pancreas and could soon leave hospital, aides said on Wednesday. "The evolution of his condition is favorable. The prince should leave the hospital soon," a source in his entourage told AFP. The prince, 51, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Princess Grace hospital suffering from pancreatitis on April 5, the day before the death of Caroline's father, Prince Rainier. Pancreatitis can be brought on by excessive eating and drinking.
