The recently founded Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra is funded entirely privately by Ahmet Kocabiyik. The owner of a Turkish steel and energy conglomerate, Kocabiyik pumps 4.5 million euros into his orchestra each season. His band already one of Turkey’s leading orchestras, now he has his sights set on conquering the Europe.
