Moldova's pro-Europe governing party has won a majority in key parliamentary elections. The result brings Moldova closer to EU membership — but not everyone is celebrating.

President Maia Sandu's pro-European Action Party has won a decisive parliamentary majority, marking a turning point in Moldova's political future. With the pro-Russian opposition defeated, EU membership now appears increasingly attainable.
