Programmes for special target Groups

What to keep in mind when producing programmes for specific groups of viewers – i.e. children, young people or women

A television station cannot always offer programmes that are equally interesting for all viewers. Sometimes it makes sense to also produce programmes for special target groups: for example, women, young people, children or a rural population. In programmes for well-defined target groups, television can cover topics in more detail. Viewers will feel the station is satisfying their information needs and will identify more closely with the station.

  • Target group-relevant magazine and feature programmes
  • Presentation techniques
