Thousands of people took to the streets across Germany to demand more action be taken to tackle the climate crisis. Demonstrators in Berlin called for an end to the country's reliance on fossil fuels and more investment in a fair energy transition.

Thousands joined a Fridays for Future protest in Berlin on Saturday, demanding stronger climate action in response to Germany's government planning to slow renewable energy expansion and boost gas drilling.

Protesters criticized these policy reversals and called for urgent climate protection measures. The rally was part of global demonstrations under the motto "Exit Gas, Enter Future."
