Youth protesters in Madagascar are rejecting dialogue and doubling down on their demands. The protests began over power and water shortages but have grown into a broader movement against poverty and corruption. The unrest has claimed over 20 lives.

After weeks of unrest, demonstrators are calling out repression, poor healthcare, and a lack of opportunity.

Medical students have joined the protests and are treating those injured by police.

While President Andry Rajoelina reshuffles his cabinet and promises reform, many say they've seen this cycle before — and now, they want a revolution, not empty promises.
