A no smoking ban was introduced in all public buildings in Germany on September 1st, including parliament. Now smokers from all parties have to restrain from lighting up, even in their own offices. If a plan is approved , inspectors could soon be making random checks on the offices to make sure no one has been smoking...but adamant smokers like Wolfgang Gehrke say if that happens he'll be keeping his office door locked.
