Relatives mourn young Iranian protester after unrest

Rights activists say Iran's violent crackdown on anti-government protests has killed more than 3,000 people. Despite internet disruptions, the death of Robina Aminian — one of the victims — has been confirmed by her relatives.

Robina Aminian was a fashion student in Tehran. Her family have alleged she was shot by security forces during a crackdown on nationwide unrest that began over economic grievances.

Aminian joined the protests because "she knew that doing nothing would never bring the future she dreamed of," her aunt, Hali Norei, told reporters.
