The deal Donald Trump struck with Iran has triggered a backlash from within his Republican Party as prominent members raise concerns about sanctions relief and a proposed $300 billion reconstruction fund.

President Donald Trump's Republican Party doesn't usually dare to differ with him, but, in the case of his ceasefire agreement with Iran, several top Republicans are breaking ranks, saying the agreement he calls a "victory" for the United States is really a lot better for Iran.

In his podcast, Senator Ted Cruz picked up on the $300 billion (€260 billion) that Iran would receive to rebuild under the deal. Cruz says he doesn't care that the White House has promised that the money won't be paid by the United States.
