# European Union diplomats have agreed to set up 4- new supervisory agencies to oversee the bloc's financial markets and overall economic development. The reform is aimed at preventing a repetition of the financial crisis, which forced taxpayers to shell out Bbillions for bank bailouts. EU finance ministers are expected to formally endorse the new agencies at a meeting in Brussels next Tuesday and the European Parliament could give its green light later this month.
