German industry has launched an initiative for training future managers in Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of the program is to encourage closer ties between future African managers and German business, there by laying a foundation for a lasting economic cooperation. Germany's collaboration with the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa has gained a higher priority on the political level in recent years.

We talked with Lucy Wanjiku in Nairobi. She was part of the first group in 2009 and got her training with Continental in Hanover. Today, she is the head of waste water treatment & recycling division with a major sanitation provider company.
