For a second day, Russian strikes have hit a bridge linking Kyiv’s east and west banks. Ukraine says the attacks are part of a broader campaign to disrupt daily life and increase pressure on civilians.

Russian strikes are increasingly targeting critical infrastructure in Kyiv, disrupting daily life far from the front line. Recent attacks damaged a major bridge across the Dnipro River, causing transport chaos and long delays for residents.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing intelligence and intercepted Kremlin communications, accused Russia of expanding attacks to civilian infrastructure, including bridges, data centers, schools and hospitals.

The United Nations has called the war a growing “human rights catastrophe” and urged urgent de-escalation as civilian suffering continues to mount across Ukraine.
