High-tech watches have long been the stuff of fantasy, familiar to fans of sci-fi and James Bond. These days consumers can actually buy a hybrid of a computer and a cellphone to wear on their wrists. Samsung has become the latest firm to enter the market. It showed off its new Galaxy Gear smartwatch for the first time at the IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin.
