SAP Lands $35 Million US Postal Service Contract

German software firm SAP has been commissioned by the US Postal Service (USPS) to overhaul its human resources software systems. The agreement involves a consulting contract worth $21 million (€17.3 million) and a licensing contract valued at $14 million (€11.6 million), a spokeswoman for USPS announced Monday. SAP's mySAP Business Suite will replace a 25-year-old system developed by USPS itself. The overhaul is meant to improve the administration of USPS's 700,000 employees.
