Sarah Kelly, Anchor-at Large & host of DW’s top political interview program, Conflict Zone, is based in Berlin. She goes face to face with global decision-makers, seeking straight answers to straight questions, putting the spotlight on controversial issues.

In addition to her role as host of Conflict Zone, Sarah is Anchor-at-Large for the flagship international news program, DW News. She has been on the air live for breaking news and special programming, adding depth and context to a range of international developments, including the Israel-Hamas war, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Syria, and US and German elections.

Sarah also regularly hosts high-level debates that set the global agenda, including at the Munich Security Conference, the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations.

She began her career at Bloomberg Television in her native New York. Sarah came to Berlin in 2010 as a German Chancellor Fellow. She has also served as an Atlantik-Brücke Young Leader. Sarah graduated with honors from Barnard College at Columbia University. She speaks English, German and Spanish.
