Saving energy in industries

Emerging nations are witnessing rapid economic growth as well as rising carbon emissions as they expand industrial production in order to export to western markets. But dwindling sources of energy and raw materials combined with a warming planet have made saving energy a priority. Using less energy not only cuts emissions, but saves money, too. From brick kilns, aluminum smelters to entire industrial centers, pilot projects show that energy can be saved at every step of the industrial production process.
