The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child has released a damning report on the Vatican's response to sexual abuse. The report was drawn up after a landmark hearing last month between human rights experts and senior members of the Catholic Church. The Vatican has accused the UN of distorting facts, saying it had not taken into accoun the many changes introduced to protect children.
