German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder would rather not have support from action film heroes such as "Terminator" Arnold Schwarzenegger in his cabinet or in German politics. Speaking during a television interview on Thursday, Schröder said he didn’t need the help of such a superhero to push through necessary reforms "because I understand and accept that our constitution envisions special guidelines, within which politics has a role." The chancellor added, "this constitution cannot and should not be allowed to be suspended through a ‘terminator’." The Austrian Schwarzenegger, a multimillion-dollar Hollywood hero and a former multiple-award-winning bodybuilder, is now preparing for a high-profile run for governor of California. Other gubernatorial candidates on the final list include Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and a porn actress who is pledging to wire every room of the governor’s mansion with live Web cams.
