Zsuzsa Sándor was a top judge at Budapest's District Court for a long time. As part of a controversial reform of Hungary's justice system, the conservative government sent all judges over 62 - including Sándor - into retirement. The European Court of Justice declared the move unlawful, and the government finally allowed the judges to return to work. But their jobs had already been given to others.
