Another high-ranking US politician has arrived in Pakistan for talks on Monday -- the Democrat John Kerry. The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee also recently proposed a bill that would triple economic aid to Islamabad. The new Obama administration has placed the country at the centre of US foreign policy. The "Asia Society Independent Task Force on Afghanistan-Pakistan" recently said the relationship between the US and Pakistan was "fundamentally dysfunctional".
