War broke out in what was then Yugoslavia twenty years ago. Of all the republics that formed after the collapse of this once multinational state, Serbia's road to stability has been rockiest. This year, it was chosen by the Leipzig Book Fair as special guest country. We take a look at how Serbian writers are processing the country's past and indeed their own, and also find out what issues they're dealing with today.
